Looks like the action boys are back with a vengeance. And they have timed it perfectly indeed.
Just as the Expendables sequel makes its rounds in the theaters, the yesteryear action heroes are announcing that there is more to them than just showing up for this Assemble feature. Schwarzenegger earlier made the rounds with the trailer for The Last Stand and now it is the turn of Sylvester Stallone with the trailer of his latest action flick, Bullet to the Head.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who is now out there seeking revenge after he finds his partner having been ‘clipped’ by a trainer mercenary Keegan (Jason Mamoa, Conan the Barbarian). He teams up with city cop Taylor (Sung Kang), someone who too had lost his partner in similar circumstances. Now the two forms an unlikely alliance as they go hunting for their man.
Directed by Walter Hill, the film is scheduled for an early 2013 release.
