This looks way more interesting than the first part!

In theatre more was shown than what is shown here in the official trailer.

Looks interesting. Hope this is better than the first part. Because the first part in totality for me was an average affair. A good first half ruined by unnecessary lengthy & indulgent second half.

Anurag is knows for being Self Indulgence and if film makers and artists will not be self indulgent who will.I do not want politicians to be self indulgent.

      • Aditya Savnal on said:

This is an lame comment. Indulgence should not be the cost of alienating the audience. Case in point being AK’s No Smoking which was the epitome of arrogance and indulgence- a fact which Anurag admitted to on PFC.

The only thing AK said was it was wrong on his part to attack critics via blog, and that as filmmaker he should just  make movies,Anurag would be last person in this industry who would be arrogant,i am yet to meet a film maker in Bollywood who is so open to criticism or even takes out time to answer even silly questions by aspiring filmmaker,
At the time of No Smoking, Anurag’s Career was at it’s Lowest,No Smoking being made out of arrogance is downright Stupid.

By the Praises which International Press has showered and the collection of GOW in India so far,i do not think his Indulgence as alienated  his Audience.

Even if self indulgence alienates some audience, because it is Artist Right, btw the term Self-Indulgence is used only for film makers for any other medium of Art it is called expression of Artist.

An artist have every right to express himself in which ever way he wants, you may connect to him or not, but saying his form of expression is wrong, is unacceptable.

As usual you are taking the topic to a different tangent. Though AK must have been down during No Smoking but I would still say is way over indulgent. Because no where does it seem that he is even trying to show what audience wants.

“An artist have every right to express himself in which ever way he
wants, you may connect to him or not, but saying his form of expression
is wrong, is unacceptable” If you say so , then we do not have any business thrashing films like Bodyguard and the likes of it. Here again the director is trying to say what he wants to and the way he wants to. Criticizing such films is a way of saying that his form of expression is wrong. If that is the case , then blogs, film reviewers as a medium of expression dont have any business to exist.

The international press has showered praises on Wasseypur is a good thing. But what works for some need not work for others. By this logic, if you dont like films such as Rowdy Rathore and Bol Bachchan  then it should make you a lesser mortal

        • CinemausherCinemausher on said:

Nobody is taking it to different tangent, you are being judgmental first you call other people comment being lame, second you attribute something which AK never said.

Read properly you have every right to criticize the piece of art which an artist makes, but telling his way of expressing it is wrong, that is not done,

More than Criticizing blogs are usually for to discuss, film criticism still a mainstream media here in India safe in Hands of Bardwaj and Roger in USA.

Your criticism to AK self indulgence which is his trademark is akin to telling that why Taj Mahal is made of  Marble. The highlight of Taj Mahal being it is made by marble, similarly the highlight of AK’s movie being his Indulgence, his guts to take a folk double meaning song and Weave it narration as Womaniya is what makes him stand out and the movie.

OK OK GOW is a great film.now take that sword off our neck.

Kushal we all surf Internet can you please stop copy pasting sentence from Humour website which you think you only seem to visit.

If you care to Read,I am talking about AK’s style of making film not the film’s greatness.

        • Kushal K Shah on said:

ok wiseman.I never claimed that this is original stuff.and besides I am from the land Bollywood where 90% of films are copied from Hollywood.

this is the problem with your kind of people.if someone criticizes a hit film or questions someone’s greatness then he is ostracized.and to be honest your comments make no sense at all apart from just giving lame excuses about AK’s indulgence.
If we dint like a film or if we disagree with you does that mean we should be ostracised.same happened with Salil’s post when he wrote something against Gandu ( Opening a can of worms? Yes, I am)

This is more like “its my way or the highway”

give me facts or reason why you do not like movie,do not give lame reasons about length,So you mean that if someone else copies you also have right to copy,

        • Kushal K Shah on said:

First give me the reason why you divulged the fact That there is Hritiks role in SRK’s DON 2 on  and then I will answer

        • CinemausherCinemausher on said:

for starters you had messaged me about that stuff after you spoke to Usman who had seen the film when it was released in UK first.

        • CinemausherCinemausher on said:

Also check out this SRK interview before the release of the movie about Hrithik’s role

yeah yeah whatever.BTW you saying repeatedly that telling his way of expressing it is wrong is what we know as criticism in other words.when we criticize someone’s work it is saying his way of expression is wrong.Anyways enough said and enough time wasted on this pointless argument.

  5. thanks for moview review
