Saurabh Kumar’s Handover is inspired from a story by Harsh Mander which was published in the National newspaper, The Hindu. The movie shot in shoestring budget with Panasonic HVX200A DVCPRO HD P2, with 35 mm lens adapter has been making rounds of various film fests in India.
Synopsis: An impoverished Dalit couple from rural India hit the headlines when it is exposed that they have sold their child. The couple acquire national infamy. An embarrassed minister deputes a local government officer to investigate the case. Despite a painful truth, the child is restored to her mother, and the accused is jailed for illegal trafficking.
The Cast and Crew of this film were majorly sourced from FTII and NSD graduates.

2. Special Jury Mention award at 4th Jaipur International Film Festival 2012
3. Best actress award in the national category at 4th Jaipur International Film Festival 2012
