Mysskin is a maverick Tamil filmmaker and has been making films in his own signature style. And one thing good about his films has been the fact that he has been trying various genres and themes with each one of his films be it a Chithiram Pesudhadi, Anjathey, Nandalala or a Yuddham Sei. And now he’s ready with Mugamoodi ( Mask ), a proper superhero film. The film has undergone many changes in terms of the protagonist and the producers. Originally supposed to be made with Suriya and UTV, the project then changed hands after Suriya opted out and talks with Vishal also failed. Later on the production reins shifted from UTV to Lingusamy‘s production house,Thirupathi Brothers. Finally the movie is now complete with Jiva playing the superhero and Narain playing the antagonist. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur for UTV Motion Pictures, the film is slated for theatrical release on 31st August, 2012.
The supporting cast includes veteran Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Nassar etc. The music is composed by K and Sathya is the DOP, both of whom made their debut with Mysskin’s Yuddham Sei. This is definitely a movie to watch out for later in the year.
For now here is the trailer of the film. Do watch and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Ah Mysskin is back, hope this would be a kick ass thriller
This is a WTF trailer from a talented guy like Mysskin…. Seems like Batman is having a very bad day or Kandasaamy 2… And why the hell is he wearing a cape to make it even more ugly…
He is wearing, because of the title itself is Mugamoodi.Do not what Batman influences you could see in the trailer.I felt it was more of Japanese Manga comics influence and Yes Mysskin;s Fav Haiku
Mugamoodi means Mask and for that he in any case did not need a cape….As for Batman apart from the two thorned mask which would have made it obvious, even the portion near the nose is an exact replica…
For other references the initial music, the training that Bruce Wayne seeks as a Ninja with Ra’s Al Ghul and the Shaolin traning here…. For a cheesy reference there is a Joker too….
The training part are also been seen and read in many Samurai novels.Just because a character dress up as joker, you cannot assume the whole film is Batman.
Who said the the whole film would be like Batman…My first comment was that it seems like Batman is having a bad day….And the other references are obvious….Anyways the trailer disappointed me personally and I stand by it…Would love to see a better output when the whole film comes out….
