Lakshmy Ramakrishnan is a familiar name by now for all those who follow Tamil Cinema. In the last 5-6 years she’s become one of the most trusted character artistes in Tamil Cinema and has also worked in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi ( Ek Deewana Tha ) films. She showed her adaptability and willingness to stretch herself with Mysskin‘s Yuddham Sei ( 2011 ) where she even shaved off her head. Now Lakshmy is all ready with her maiden directorial venture- Aarohanam.
Aarohanam is produced by A.V.Anoop ( of the Cholayil Group who regularly produces Malayalam films ) and has debutants Vireesh, and Jai Quini in the lead. Various known artistes like Sampath, Jayaprakash and Uma Padmanabhan have been cast in supporting roles. According to Lakshmy Aarohanam is a story about siblings who go in search of their mother and the entire story takes place between 6 pm and 6 am the next day morning. The music is by K ( of Yuddham Sei fame ) while N.Shanmughasundaram is the DOP and Kishore T.E is the editor. The film is due for release shortly.
