Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai trailer is finally out after speculations and rumours. Based on the famous novel of Z written by Vassilis Vassilikos, it was made into a feature film by Costa Gavras with the same name and is touted as the Best Political Thriller
of World Cinema.
Shanghai has an interesting star cast which has Abhay Deol along with Emraan Hashmi and Tollywood Superstar Prosenjit in a special appearance. By the looks of the promo it seems Dibakar has pulled of adapting Z for an Indian audience. Yes do not forget to listen to the Bharat Mata song in the background of the promo. This seems like a film to watch out for, considering how difficult it is for Bollywood, Politics and the genre of Thriller to combine together. Do drop in your comments about the trailer.
